Aerofly FS 2 Paths

Installation Folder

The installation path (or installation folder) of the Aerofly FS 2 is usually defined in the Steam settings.

  1. Open the Steam software.
  2. Click on the “Library” tap at the top.
  3. Select the Aerofly FS 2 Flight Simulator from the list in the left column
  4. Right click on it and select “Properties”
  5. Switch to the tap “Local files” in the window that opens
  6. Click on the button “Browse local files…”

This will open the installation folder of the Aerofly FS 2 in a separate Windows Explorer window.

Contents of the Installation Folder

The installation folder contains all libraries, executables, game-content like textures or models and shaders. The folder contains sub-folders like the aircraft and scenery folder for the default aircraft and sceneries. Custom made aircraft or scenery should not be installed to these folders, use the user-folder instead (see below).

Recommendation
When inside the installation or user folder of the Aerofly FS 2 go one directory higher in the Windows Explorer, so that you can see the “Aerofly FS 2 Flight Simulator” or “Aerofly FS 2” folder in the Windows Explorer, then either drag it to the left column of the Windows Explorer to add it into your “Favorites” or right-click on it and select “Send to” → “Desktop (create link)”.
