Now time to get to scenery school

  • Thanks to Rodeo and IPACS now we'll have our time to get back to school with the tutorials on how to develop airport and general scenery for Aerofly FS 2 with the AC3D tool. Great challenge!.

    Thanks again.

    Cheers, Ed

  • Ed,

    thanks for your comment.

In fact, the package contains a lot of features to play with.

    - Geoconvert: Use the advanced possibilities for masking and polygonal cutting.
    - Airport: Add smooth runways and surrounding into the aerofly elevation mesh. Will we see curved runways soon?

    - Xref: Add objects from the library by just placing a block and a rotation angle. This is amazing.

    - Cultivation: Feed your scenery with buildings, plants and lights. Go into mass production for thousands of lights and objects.

    - Cultivation textures: Living in America, Asia or Europe? Localize your buildings with your own textures.

Hope you like this stuff and enjoy to discover the possibilities. 8)

    Regards

    Rodeo

  • Scenery school is probably a good thing but are there any devs working on releasing payware scenery at the moment?

ORBX is collaborating with IPACS in developing more scenery for AFS2. They've already released Innsbruck (LOWI) and Merryl Meigs Field in Chicago (now closed in real life but there was that all begun with MSFS). Seems that ORBX is awaiting for some technical issues to be solved by IPACS to continue the development of more regions (autogen, etc., I believe).

    Cheers, Ed
