Has anyone been successful in getting an airplane from the IPACS objects library to a useable tmb file using AC3D?

Make sure that you have the latest plug-in for AC3D. You may need to re-download the SDK
Are you trying to actually add this to an airport project or trying to add it directly somehow? These only work if you add the dummy object to your _obj export group.

Jeff,
I am attempting to make one, two, or three tmb files for general use. Using AC3D I make the box, add the x y dimensions (reversed), set height to zero, move, name exactly as I the library, save, export to a tgi. Set up a tsc file for the tgi name, edit the converter for destination, and run. The tmb file is made, but is basically empty for the airplanes.
This works for the buildings.
I will go after the sdk update to get any plug in update that might be causing the problem.
Thanks.

Ray

Just retried, No joy. I am using page 6/7 of Rodeo's airport tutorial for AC3D for preparing tgi files for the FS2 content converter.

It works fine in 3dsMax. I have added several of the airplanes to my airport. I know that doesn't help. But just letting you know it does work. In 3ds Max, I put all my objects in the scene, group them, export selected, make sure to select OBJECT not Scene Place in the exporter. Added an entry to the .tsc file for the objects. Run the converter, works like a charm. Make sure you are naming the dummy object the exact (copy and paste the name) name as the aircraft you want to include.

It should work almost the same way in AC3D, but doesn't or I missing a step someplace.

Working with AC3D I have noticed the same effect: Several aircrafts and vehicles as well do not load.
I will talk to IPACS about it.

Thanks, but it seems to be a global problem - see Rodeo's comment above. Maybe IPACS will spend some time checking the AC3D add on in relation to the Object Library airplanes.
