Hi in a earlier post (shimmering) I mentioned that autogen was shimmering and jagged runway lines, today I noticed I had nvidia GeForce experience installed I haven't used this but was wondering if this could be the problem as afs2 used to look a lot nicer so I have uninstalled latest driver and will do a fresh install of graphics driver without GeForce experience, can you just select the driver only.

    thanks,Jim

    Hi Jim,

You can install the driver without the GeForce experience, yes. Each time that you update a driver you have to make sure that you avoid the express installation and instead use the customized installation where you have to deselect the GeForce experience.

    Regards,

    Jan

The shimmering has multiple causes which we explained in detail in past threads.

Basically this is due to the limitation of the graphics card resolution and we already greatly reduced this using all kinds of tricks. Its not as easy as it sounds, this isn't any bug with the code itself, this is rather a hardware limitation we need to work around. And that still has to work on the different hardware out there, so it get's complicated.

    Regards,

    Jan

thanks Jan I thought it was just my graphics card or driver I tried many settings on my card and afs2 but none made any difference didn't think it was anything to do with afs just the card limitation.

Have you tried a full uninstall of NVIDIA using this tool: DDU followed by a clean driver only install.
