3DSmax 2017 plugin support

  • Dear IPACS team,

Apparently the IPACS plugin for 3DS Max2017 is still bugged, and the one for 3DS Max 2016 won't work.

It's not my own PC and licence, I just have access to a workstation with that tool installed, thus I cannot install a former version of 3DS Max.

When can we expect to have it fixed? I cannot compile my work...

    Thank you in avance

    Best regards

    Antoine

  • Dear IPACS team,

I gave the latest plugin a quick test this week-end with the Kingman AD example.

The output tgi file sizes are still significantly smaller than the original ones provided with the SDK, but I could convert them and get the AD in AFS2.

The large blue industrial buildings in the back ground have no texture, but apparently they're simply not textured either in the 3DS Max file.

    Or did I miss anything?

Thus I assume the plugin is now working, thanks a lot!

    Cheers

    Antoine

  • Antoine,

thanks for reporting back here. No those buildings are not textured in the Max file. So are we safe to say the 3DS Max 2017 converter now works?

I would say yes, I'll report back if I encounter more troubles.

    Thanks a lot

    Cheers
