Fantastic job, I love your result!
As I can see, you already did the taxi ways as well
I'll go on with tutorials and try to eliminate weak points, where an user may struggle.
Thanks for sharing your screenshots here.

hello Querty
could you please attach the tif file as i do not see the decals show up.
Clayton,
the file is too big to be attached here. This is a temporary link to my Gooogle drive:
thanks Rodeo will try that file

It won't be long. I'm looking forward to seeing your first runway.

Rodeo will probably respond soon, and my observations may be only cosmetic but I would rename the airport group to brisbane_rwy and make it consistent with the decals, so make them brisbane__decals__priority0
I'd test that for you now but I'm meant to be at work !
P.S. I found F6 useful. It gives model info including each element and what textures are linked to it.
Hi,
I'll have a look at it....
Oh,
I can't do it right now, since I don't have the content converter installed at my office pc. I'll have to wait until tonight when I come home.
that is ok Rodeo when you have the spare time, thanks again both of you

I've got the content converter on my laptop here. I don't know if these files will work, but the conversion succeeded. Try them in Fs2 if you can.

Clayton,
this is the link to the data: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1OTevUv…iew?usp=sharing
I corrected some entries, but did not care about graphics quality. There is still some work to be done.
I enclosed both the ac3d folder and the places folder.
Rodeo
Hi Rodeo - I'm trying to take this to the next level now. My local airfield looks like this. Is there a way to draw a polygon around the vertices of the runway and use that as a reference to cut out the 3 connecting runways from the mesh?
thanks both of you, i am currently processing some scenery files on my fs computer so once then I will try these files out
ok i installed Phil's files and i can see the runway but it is not in the right position, see pictures, maybe I shall try your Rodeo as well?
sorry Rodeo I do not know where to put your 2 folder into Aerofly.
There is one folder _ac3d. It contains the graphics data I used for conversion.
There is one folder _places. It has to be moved into your ....\aerofly fs 2\scenery\places folder.
I don't have the FSET background, but the runway should be at the right position. But as stated above, I did not correct any other data. So there is still some work to be done with runway and decals.

Phil,
there is a knife function, which can use the runway as the cutting object. But you have to extrude the runway to enable a vertical cutting of the ground mesh.
Another option is 'vertex picking' and move them to the desired position.
thanks Rodeo will investigate further.

Thanks Rodeo. Vertex picking sounds like the kind of thing i was envisaging. I'll research that one.
