Opened up FS2 again today, and activation is back. I opted out of beta again, but it didn't correct it like it did yesterday. And once you opt out of beta, you cant opt back in.
Build 2348872

And now its gone and back to build 2348925. Still no beta opt in, though
We are currently cleaning all of this up. There are currently too many builds (public, beta, and internal), this is how the current builds got mixed up in the first place.
Over the next couple of days this will all be cleared up.
i had a windows update and reboot, now when i go to steam to click play it is telling me to install AFS2 and it is all greyed out, i checked the file directories and everything is there, but steam is telling me install game, WTF ?
Can you run it through your desktop shortcut?
Try to shut down Steam and run it again. Windows shouldn't have any effect on Steam.
Also just a thought, if you were in beta we cleared all betas to clean things up a bit, you might be referencing a version that no longer exists. Right click./properties, and opt out of beta.
when i click on the desktop icon it says to install Afs2, also i checked beta was never in beta and it says i am opt out
Did you change anything with file location?
Are any other of your Steam games doing the same?
This is very odd. Nothing was changed and I just checked and Aerofly fires right up through Steam
i have AFS2 installed on another machine, does that matter? Maybe i can only install it on one machine?
only other game greyed out is MSFSX that has been greyed out for a while don't know why that got greyed out either.

OK I'm a bit confused here. Are you saying that you have Aerofly installed on a computer and you went to a different computer and it needs to install? Have you actually installed Aerofly on that computer?
Yes, you can have Aerofly on as many computers as you want as long as you use the same account
hi Jeff
Yes so first i have AFS2 on my flightsim computer (this was about 6 mths ago) I then also installed (through steam( AFS2 on another computer about 2 weeks ago (slower computer) to test my runways, now when windows did an update on my flightsim computer (original one) when i went to play AFS2 the icon is all greyed out.
Do you think I should just click the icon to install ?
That is very odd, are you logged into Steam?
Have you tried to run Aerofly with the desktop icon? Please try that first.
Have you verified the Aerofly install is still in Steamapps? Have you accidently uninstalled it?
yes logged into steam then logged off, then logged back in, yes did try AFs2 and i got that "install AFS2" message see my post above for a picture, yes all files and folders regarding AFS2 are still in steamapps.
its all there but steam is telling me to install
something i found here
Please try what I asked you. Run from the Aerofly desktop icon instead of going into Steam.
If it's not there go into 'Steam\steamapps\common\Aerofly FS 2 Flight Simulator\bin64" locate your Aerofly FS 2 application, right click on it and 'send to desktop (create a shortcut)'
hi Jeff
I did exactly what you said i get the message as per the above post "install AFS2..."
found this on another forum
Go on the account giving you problems with the options being greyed out. Open up the Steam folder, and navigate to the steamapps folder. Open that up and see if you have an .acf file there for 7 Days To Die, and any other games giving this issue.
The .acf file is the file that tells Steam your game is installed, and therefore, without that file, Steam options will be greyed out due to Steam not "seeing" the game as installed.
The .acf file number is the same as the number at the end of the URL on the Steam store page for that game.
Unfortunately this issue appears to be a Steam issue. It might be best to contact their support for this.
I'll also dig more into it on my end but I have never seen this happen before.
yea looks like a steam issue will report back to any solution
