Here is a good basic video with a slow moving camera with closeups.

Ray, I don't want to discourage you from the research as I really appreciate the effort however, there is the problem.. I have an engineering background so I need numbers to work with. Photos and videos alone are not good enough though

I have a Masters in Engineering also so that should work and 5,000 logged flying hours. Let's hope CC responds positively.

Jay,
this is looking good. We feel that this is an important step (a user created aircraft using our SDK tools) for Aerofly. If there's anything that you need during this process please just ask.

Excellent work Jay

Thank you Jeff
your support is soooo appreciated.
What I love about AFS2? I'm not alone..!!
Everybody's trying to help and that IS awesome...

That looks really good
The horizontal stabilizer looks a bit too round I think
By the way, if you do the landing light on the wing, can you do both sides? There is an option to do that in the real aircraft and I would love to install the left/right alternating flasher, could look very interesting

Amazing work!

Hi
You'r right there. Carbon Cub has slightly different horizontal stabilizer. That's still gonna be edited. What you see in the pic is actually original p18.
Did you get any answer from Carbon Crafters yet?
Light on both wings, no problem..

Sorry boys, I got you mixed up
The question was actually for Ray..

Hello Jay,
No, I haven't had a peep from Carbon Cub support. I resent one email this morning and sent a new one to the publications group.

No dimension numbers but this is the best top down view I have seen.

quick technical question..
thinking about polygon budget, does AF engine handle "opened" objects well or is it necessary to have all the meshes "airtight" ?
thanks

open meshes are not a problem.
Any poly count will barely be an issue. As long as you stay below the half million mark is should be alright, above 1 million you're doing something wrong and above probably 3 million the first frame drops will be noticed. Maybe 5 million who knows.
I'd estimate you should stay well 200k, so basically do what you want.
