The Cessna moving map... Real or fake?

This is a personal preference, and maybe a request, but not a complaint.

Is there any way you guys can produce an alternate version of the Cessna 172 without that moving map in the right side of the instrument panel? I have not found any real-life avionics system that looks like it, and to me it just feels like a throwback to an earlier mobile version of Aerofly, when "serious simmers" had yet to adopt the platform. If I am wrong, please point me to the real-life counterpart of that map display. If it is based on something real, I will be delighted to know it. However, if it's but a work of fancy or fiction, I would be equally delighted to see it eliminated from the panel for the sake of realism.

It is like a default map app on a $150 tablet! There you go, some virtual velcro and it is authentic.

I dunno. I know it is not realistic, but I still find it useful. My only complaint about it is that I cannot link the NAV HOLD to the flight path that shows onscreen, like a true GPS.

I stopped flying when a Garmin 55 AVD was a cool GPS. A single ----|---- line was the graphic interface showing your route progress. Its display was huge compared to a cigarette pack end sized display I saw in 737-200s.
