KMRY Monterey for AFS2 Service Pack 1

This small service pack for KMRY-AFS2 users is now available and addresses several customer requests and a few minor fixes:

- New building autogen textures: colours more representative of Californian architecture

- Water blending issues resolved (previously only an issue for those who had the IPACS US high-res ground textures DLC installed)

- Added swimming pool to Naval Post-Grad Academy

- Moved starting positing for RWY 10R to enable easier start for taildragger aircraft

This service pack is for customers who have purchased via ORBX Direct. This content is already available for people who have purchased via Steam.

I bought the DLC via steam. Where can I download the Service pack. I didn't find any download links in my steam library.

Or can I download the Service pack on ORBX web site.

Or will be install the Service pack automaticly by starting Aerofly FS 2.

please can you help me on this

The Steam version of the DLC will update itself.

Still version 1.1 shows a wrong Control Tower location in tower view. I corrected it manually again.

For those interested to use the real Control Tower location at KMRY when in tower view inside AFS2, follow this:

1. Go to your Steam directory: ...\Steam\steamapps\common\Aerofly FS 2 Flight Simulator AddOns\scenery\orbx_kmry\places\Monterey

2. Open the folder Monterey and locate your monterey.TSC file (don't mix it up with your monterey.TOC file)

3. Open your monterey.TSC file and edit it using Notepad or any other text editor and change the corresponding line to the coordinates shown on the attachment

4. It's a good idea to backup your original monterey.TSC file before doing any change, just in case.

You're ready to go. Enjoy a real tower view in your simulator.

According to the original preview post, Jackson's Hole will be released before Eagle County. But we shall have to wait and see.

That sequence was reversed by the Author. It appeared that Eagle County was completed just after Christmas but the Orbx team often adds and takes away from the package as part of the final testing and evaluation. Of course, it could simply be the workload of year end stuff and/or recovery from the holidays.

It does look inviting though.

I've only just moved my stuff over to OrbX direct due to the release on Monterey, Can anyone tell me, does it seek out updates automatically, or should I run OrbX direct manually to check for updates periodically?

If you purchased the ORBX DLC on Steam and you have 'update automatically' enabled then you will get the update automatically.

If you purchased on direct then you will need to follow their guidelines.

Thanks Jeff, just did a manual check and it installed the update. Looks much better, those rooftops have a much more subtle colour now. It really is a great little scenery to fly round in the Buckmeister.

correct Enrico, for me too... didn't found any changes before and after. It is looked like changes, but when you review any you tube videos of flying AFS2 over Monterey weeks ago, I didn't find any changes of the scenery look since yesterday. It is the same
