Saw the post about the next big update which may be here tomorrow: touch control! Nice! I am sure a LOT of people will be thrilled by this! I was wondering though: will the update be about touch control entirely or will it also contain a few things (fixes or whatever) that are of interest for non-VR users (like me)? Just curious. As always.
Question about the upcoming big update

This update will be a "major feature" update so it will focus solely on the VR Hands. We do plan on moving forward from this and will be preparing for the next feature update soon thereafter.
This feature took an enormous amount of programming time to get it just right and to be available for not only Oculus Touch users but for Vive users as well.

Great news!.
Cheers, Ed

Looking forward to it.

Magic Hands?

Vive users as well? That is news!
-
Absolutely thrilled, I've been checking the forums daily for weeks now!

Will WMR support be included (Vive = WMR) ?

We haven't tested with WMR yet but it's possible it would work if Vive motion controllers work with WMR and you run using SteamVR mode
-
I have the Samsung Odyssey which came with Samsung controllers but they usually work in Vive-based games. I run the WMR version of SteamVR.
I'll post my feedback on AeroTouch with the Odyssey once it's available.

for Vive users as well.
Oh awesome! I thought this was going to be an Oculus only thing until further down the road. Super excited now

I see the announcement regarding the hands, however those photos were taken in a cessna, how easy or useful will this touch update be for pilots of the heavy metal variety where there is alot more to do in the cockpit, from mcp, overhead and FMC ?
-
I guess the hands do not mean that there is more functuonality than what we have today. Where you can use the mouse you can then also use the touch controllers.

I am anxious to see those hands at work on the overhead panel.
