Afaik I know the wiki doesn't contain any information about the gliders yet. (Correct me if I am wrong.) I was thinking about giving a glider a try but well, it's a bit hard if you have no clue what to do. I did look for some YouTube video's but I am not sure if the guys who made those video's actually fly gilders in real life, which is what I prefer.
Does anyone have a link to a good, realistic tutorial about gliding in general and about gliding in AFS2 specifically?
A good introductory video is "So You Want to Fly Gliders" from Sporty's Pilot Shop. There are many good books on soaring that are available used on eBay. The FAA has a publication "Glider Flying Handbook" that can be downloaded for free as a PDF on the FAA web site http://www.faa.gov/regulations_po…lider_handbook/.
Thanks, Cirrus64! I will have a look at that free pdf: I didn't plan to spend money on this. 
I do wonder though if real world books apply to gliding in AFS2 because afaik it is missing bacis stuff (when it comes to thermals and so on) that you need to glide well. I also have no clue what the instruments in the AFS2 gliders do so a AFS2 specific tutorial might be more convenient here.
