Check to make sure you have the latest drivers.

Have steam verify the integrity of your game installation.

It looks as if you have some setting preventing images to show alpha characteristics. In the control panel of your GPU, make sure that you have it set to 'default' only (don't use anything in your GPU control panel). Also, let me know what GPU driver version you are on.

When you say default setting do you mean the global setting on the nvidia control panel as i'm not very techy on this stuff,

    my driver version is 398.11

    Thanks

Yes, the global setting in the NVidia Control Panel should be using the default settings with nothing added.

Your driver is up to date so that's not the problem here.

Also, what graphics card are you using?

OK, you shouldn't be having any problem like this with your hardware and driver config.

In looking at your photo above again, I have to ask whether the area with the square trees are in an actual released DLC or is it something that you added manually?

I haven't added any content manually,i can't remember which area is in the video so i just tried again with a flight in zurich & the trees are still square in all areas of the sim ,as far as i know the trees are in actual released content, i have aerofly fs2 on steam so it automatically updates for me.

Once again many thanks for your help, i will press on trying to solve the problem in various ways but i still love the sim & will just take the trees off in settings.

    Kind regards

    Gezz

    Gezz,

Have you done a file verify on Steam?

Yes, this has been mentioned a few times to you already, please verify your files in Steam.

Right click on 'Aerofly FS2 Flight Simulator' in your Steam games list, go into properties, local files, and run 'verify integrity of game files'

If this doesn't work then it definitely has something to do with your PC configuration.

Another suggestion is to try a “clean” install of your video card drivers. I had this happen once in fsx and it was a conflict in different driver versions; a simple update of the driver didn’t do it as it didn’t actually clear the NVidia user settings thoroughly. “Clean” install thoroughly removes old files and settings.
