I was just at the Aerosoft Forum earlier today and wondering about this scenery......
Lukla in Aerofly FS2 - Preview

Looks incredible. Can't wait for it.

Yeah. I cannot wait to get this too. There is one big gap to consider. To fly up to Everest base camp with the R22ii will not be possible. Until we get a AS350 you will not be able to get up there. I am already having a hard time to get to Hornlihuette at Matterhorn in 3300m altitude. RPM warning

Indeed. Aerofly FS2 however offers a nice selection of fixed wings that can get up there easily. None of them can take off in Lukla however (or should... in real world...) but there are a few more airports in the package that support larger aircraft.

You could also consider there are other several aircraft other than the R-22 Trainer that will get up there.

Can't wait for this scenery. It looks pretty complete to me, but I guess the devil's in the details so probably too early to ask for a rough time frame for release?

I think one year is enough teasing...

Will Aerosoft ever finish a project?
Cheers, Ed

This is the manually created mesh grid
This looks like an interesting technology!
-
I do wonder though, how well other sims will handle such dense mesh...
I also wonder how well Aerofly will do it!
-
I do know these Himalaya regions from real life pretty well: My first verdict based on screenshots I've seen so far: It looks and breathes "Himalaya" and its divinity, its uniqueness and generic colours in the first time I've seen on a sim-screen up to now !!!

When, when, when ?????
Can't wait

Yes, and the Gods play well with Aerofly - always nice and fair weather, which is rather rare in these regions in reality...pilots of AFS2 are really blessed
-
Well,
as soon as you have Lukla installed, please set visibility to minimum and cover everything with clouds to make this more realistic. But I'm afraid your screenshot will not show the many details of the scenery...

Salsa,
We don’t have time to fly, we are too busy gawking at all the details and colors. Can you say overkill, nah? Extreme is a good description.
