How to edit an instrument main picture file?

  • How to edit an instrument main picture file?

My home flight simulator cockpit has a hardware canopy bow of its own. This feature makes the software generated bow around the fighters' glareshield

    redundant and intrusive.

Nonobstant some creative skills in other simulators, I have never figured out how to edit that subpart of the visuals to the point of making it disappear.

Is this a secret of the AFS2 trade or can someone enlighten me how to proceed?

    Greetings and thanks.

  • Hi,

I'm afraid to tell you that there isn't a main picture file for the instruments. All of them are 3D modeled and can't be changed by just changing the colors.

That can be altered is the the individual instrument faces, you could for example change the scale from kt to mph or km/h. But you can't make a "steam" cockpit into a glass cockpit.
