Oculus Headset Question

  • This is an issue that I have been having for the year since I bought the Oculus to go along with my Vive. For some reason, the sound from FS 2 plays out of my PC speakers and not the headset that is attached to the Oculus. With the Vive I get the sounds through the headset, but with the Oculus the headset doesn't work. This problem only effects FS 2. I get sound out of the Oculus headset with all other games. Any ideas why this is happening?

  • I think you have to manually select the Oculus audio output everytime using the Windows audio settings. Or 'simply' disconnect the speakers... I only use headphones, no speakers, but whenever I play(ed) AFS2 in VR I had to unplug my regular headphone or the sound wouldn't come through the Oculus device.

  • Using the Oculus tray tool, you can set the sound to automatically switch to Oculus audio. I also found it strange that this only seems to happen with Aerofly, but I believe there was no answer when I asked about it, some time ago.
