Garmin G1000

I'm curious if it's technically possible for someone to implement something like the Garmin G1000 in a 3rd party aircraft?

Not that I'm volunteering or have the knowledge to do that , just whether the ability is there currently or how far FS2 is away from that.

It's personally my most wished for thing in AFS2, (ATC a close second).
