If I place the A320 on the runway for takeoff shouldnt it be fully configured for takeoff?
I ask because if advancing the throttle lever to TO/GA and start the roll the EICAS pops a T.O Inhibit Message...
Why is that?

Cause the A320 only goes into T.O. Inhibit when the engine thrust is increased for takeoff and is only shown during takeoff, not before. Its not part of the checklist for example. The takeoff inhibit is automatically created when the flight warning computer detects a takeoff and it inhibits certain "not so important warnings and cautions" during the critical takeoff phase and only allows high priority warnings to be displayed.
