Sometimes cultivating requires more attention to detail other than just trees and ScenProc generated buildings. Adding 3D models can really help give the scenery an extra boost of immersion. So I use the free GenericAirportObjects and others etc provided from Flightsim website, very appreciative, helps alot! I want to add more different/specific 3d models, but that requires the use of Sketchup which I don't believe is free anymore, and the use of $$ 3DS Max and/or $ AC3D. It looks to me as it can be very expensive to add 3D models. I've been flying almost everyday for 2 months in AF2 since i've owned it but I just don't feel it's worth the extra money to create custom models (I will survive). Not sure how this works but perhaps as a community there could be a 3D model database for everyone to use. Have I done my research wrong? Is there a complete free way to do this? Which way would be best if I did spend some money? All this because I just wanted to make my own telecommunication tower!

No need for AC3D, I use Blender.

You don't.
Build using Sketchup then export as .dae file.
Then open in ModelConverterX and bingo, you now have a 3d model for AFS2.

Kloot i'm so close to a bingo! No problem with steps 1 and 2 but when I open scenProc and load 3ds file to convert, I get errors. This seems to easy? Is there a script involved when opening scenProc and loading 3ds file? If this way works then I believe it can help the AF2 community greatly.

Make sure the scenery has no colors, just textures before converting.

The relatively new feature of MCX direct-to-tgi export isn't mentioned in Rodeo's video until 15:33 or so.
This use of a freeware 3D model Blender or Sketchup with a path to tgi via MCX is new and amazing!
