Adjusting torbofan parameters...

  • The default A320 / 737 although they are set by default with some mid-high load, require a lot of throttle to get rolling, and to keep taxiing while, for those same GW values they should be able to taxi at ground idle.

Where in the tmd files should I look into in order to try to fine tune net thrust curves on ground and inflight ?

  • There is no thrust curve in the tmd, the rotation speed, thrust and fuel flow are all calculated based on thermodynamic laws, compressor and turbine performance maps, cross section areas, etc. Currently there is no way to edit those factors but when we add in the engine startup for the turbofan these parameters might become available. But by then we might have already tweeked the performance and fine-tuned it for the CFM56 engine.

Right now I would check if increasing the wheel tyre pressure would reduce the friction.

Also make sure to test on a level area as all Aerofly FS 2 airports are sloped to some degree. Some more than others...
