Yes alright,
your argumentation is very convincing

Thanks to Ray, I did this scenery. Available at flight-sim.org WaN: Brewster
Gentlemen, start your engines and dry our cherries with your rotor downwash.
This was an experiment for me, since I planted more than 250.000 trees of a single species.
There is no real helipad, but you may 'abuse' some decals of the airport.
Great timing Rodeo. I needed this new airport for my weekend flying. I think this might be the most scenic one of your WaN area. Nothing like have a real need to fly around in the R-22. We might need to post some real world links for reading about all the family cherry farms and how they use helicopters as just another farm tool.
Regards,
Ray
Again. Thank you very much, Rodeo.
I just downloaded and installed Brewster. Oh so nice.
Everything is included - USGS scenery, super sharp elevation data, beautiful water, a kazillion hand place trees and cherry orchards, loads of cultivation features, some new statics at the airport and all placed in one of the most scenic bends in the Columbia River. It looks like the real deal, which is a great place to visit.
Thanks so very much, Rodeo and Higgy for making this possible, and for free. The best kind of airport scenery. Now we can spend the entire day, evening or weekend flying from one small airport to another and catch all the new 3D graphics and images.
This is almost like getting a new mini DLC for the heart of the PNW. Interestingly, when Orbx was promoting the PWN for FSX they never quite made it over to this area.
I think the only thing that might be missing is some river traffic. Do you think we could talk Dave W. into placing his Nimitz Battle Group in one the wide places of the river.
btw, this is perfect area for flying the new R-22. Lots of eye candy and Easter eggs.
Regards,
Ray
A tidbit of history. The original cherry trees in the area were a gift from Japan, over a hundred years ago.
Yes,
now you can fly nice routes in WaN. Get airborne at Lake Chelan and follow the Columbia River, until you meet Brewster. Then turn left to follow the bed of the Okanogan River to Omak, where you turn around to fly over Lake Omak back to Columbia again. Arrival is in Grand Coulee Dam. If I add Mansfield, you can fly straight back to Chelan.
Btw, I have the full area in all levels from 9-14. If there is a gap somewhere , please tell it to me, thanks.
Route has been recorded with Flight Path recorder, thanks to Lenidcamper.
Actually, a bit further South from Chelan in the Wenatchee River Valley is the small town of Cashmere, Following the Wenatchee Valley NorthWest from the Columbia River at Wanatchee just a few miles to Cashmere is very scenic. There is a small airport at Cashmere that would fit like a glove with Chelan, Brewster and Omak. You could reuse your cherry tree orchards.
Cashmere is located in the geographic center of Washington state.
Just a thought.
Ray
It is so neat to taxi down the runway at Brewer and look down the beautiful rows of trees in the orchards. What a great gift to the community. On climb out over the town I noticed the tower on the small dedicated island in the river. Lots of nice, small realistic touches to make it grand. Now that I have seen it from the F-15E, time to take the R-22 out for some real closeups.

Brewer = Brewster (may the dude that added automatic word replacement to spell check burn in hello)
Rodeo, thank you again for this nice scenery. It just came perfect in time for the helicopter.
Also this many 🌳 look very nice.
Cheers,
Thomas
Beautiful area which makes a very fun place to fly! Followed the route and then landed back in Chelan, very fun airport. Thanks again Rodeo for the scenery!
Rodeo, thanks for this great work on PNW. I live in the Tri-Cities and would very much like to include this in the areas I fly In Aerofly. However, when I attempt to register at Flight-Sim.org, I get no confirmation email. Have used two different emails and no luck. Can you help me with this? Thanks
Rodeo,
I read your workflow on using USGS files. I can download the image files with U-get, but haven’t figured out downloading the USGS Metadata files in a batch. What was your process for doing that.
Thanks,
Todd
Tri-Cities/WA sounds interesting, I have to explore this area.
I don't know about the registration process at flight-sim.org, but hopefully higgy will read this and can help.
Todd, great that you work with USGS as well. I would love to see more people publishing these images for aerofly!
First, when you selected your area, save your imagery list with the button 'Save as text'.
Make a copy of this file.
Press the button Info/Metadata of a single image and search for the link of the XML file.
Now open your file copy and replace the download string with this information.
Feed uGet with both files.
Good success!
1. JP2 download list
2. Get the XML path
3. Edit XML download list

Just as a heads up though, due to changes at Flightsim.org, all these links (and many more) are dead.
Guess I'll put this here:
