Swiss cultivation free from ORBX

Thank you so much for the work, but it is still too complicated for ordinary users as me. Wish there be simpler ways to improve upon the ORBX cultivation. Or maybe IPACS could give us an update...

ORBX-cultivation using the default-vegetation of Swiss-DLC (there are a lot of trees going through the buildings)

What is missing is the combine of ORBX replacing the default-vegetation with OSM-generated trees. I will work this WE on this for the sample of Bern, cause I have to split my cultivation-files.

This exists and must be converted to aerofly format with the allowance of the author if published. But for personal use I guess this is possible.

This is possible with a tool like JOSM where the OSM data can be edited. You need to remove the parts of e.g. the highway you do not want to be illuminated. Then by the process of ScenProc the removed parts will not have light points anymore. An awful lot of work. Mybe as a managed joint project with people from this forum.

Regarding OSM and JOSM I have a question: does someone understand how the OSM data can be filtered when downloading. I have read it is possible but I did not understand the coding. I think it would be very useful to just download data you need e.g. streets, trees, forests etc. If you have downloaded just the streets the handling and editing in JOSM would be much easier.

TomB what is the algorithm to know the geographic coordinates of a ttc file? Thank you!

I guess they follow Aerofly's grid system. However i do not know the level for these tree tiles (10, 11?). There are 70 of these tree tiles covering whole Switzerland, maybe this gives an indication of the level.

If the offending highway has a distinctive key/value in the OSM data you can always add an attribute String;skip|yes in scenProc

and use UnloadFeatures|skip="yes" to remove the feature before cultivating.

Sorry for a stupid question. I cannot download/install neither LSGK Saanen nor Swisscultivation. I have

• ORBX Central v4.0.25 with
• ORBX account and half a dozen of products
• Swiss Scenery DLC in my Steam account

Install-Button in Central is greyed out, direct download link (http://push.cdn.orbxdirect.com/260/_fulOrbxSw…ivationAFS2.zip) is dead.

Is this a tempory problem or can anyone help me?

It's strange. Central says "Product owned" (however its not in "My Products"), but the "Install" button is greyed. I have a "Main library" assigned (on a non-system SSD) and enough space.
I also tried it while FS2 was running in Steam, but no change...

BTW, in the top left corner of Orbx Central it says "X-Plane11" which I can't change.

Are you shure, you selected Aerofly FS 2 here?

That's exactly the point! It was "X-Plane 11" and I had even clicked on it more than once, but it wouldn't change. Obviously it needed a complete system shutdown and restart after which it showed up as a dropdown with the option "Aerofly FS 2". After that the install button was active. Thanks!
