Hi,
I like the glider SD 38.
In my opinion the glider is a bit too top-heavy, because to fly reasonably horizontally I have to pull the elevator quite strongly.
Bye, Michael

I had noticed that it doesn't seem to want to stay up in the heavens...just assumed it was like that in real life. It feels rather like a Horsa or one of those military gliders where the aim is not to soar but just get down in one piece😀

That might be because it was a military glider. Designed from scratch for 2-3 minute flights to introduce potential pilots the fundamentals of flight. Bungee cord launches off a hill side. The Luftwaffe’s primary trainer for several years. 10,000 built for that purpose.
