RC8 on mac - user interface size

You gotta be kidding? Any other complaints?
-
If I mention it it's because I'm embarrassed by the user interface size.
No, I'm not kidding.
I looking for method to increase the menus size.

Do you have an iMac with 5K display? This is actually the only configuration where one might actually need a bigger font. We will observe further user feedback in the future regarding this and if it's indeed something requested by many users, we will try to increase it.
But since Aerofly RC is doing all menu rendering itself, it's not an easy task.

On an iMac Pro with 5K display it's way too small - really needs to be fixed please.
A slight workaround to at least be able to read the text is to enable the scroll gesture for zooming in the Settings / Accessibility / Zoom tab.
Set this to the Control key and you can use the mouse/trackpad + Control key to zoom in on the display where the mouse is located.
Don't forget to zoom back out to continue flying

I would also add that on a Mac Book Pro with Retina display the difference is stark. Apps can be optimized for this to sense between the two.
Is it that RC8 renders everything at a higher resolution?
I love the product. Great work.

You can chose the pixel density in the settings, which affects the overall resolution. Rendering at 100% is putting a high demand on your system and makes the text smaller but about 50% should make it larger and also run faster

Yes that is what I meant

As you can see from the screenshot the display is very hard to read.
All the extra OSD elements under the View menu are rendered very small and hard to read (model settings, flight information etc).
It would be really nice to have a proper setting to scale all the OSD elements.

This is my current Imac configuration.

I have a 15" MacBook Pro with retina display and the menus are quite difficult for me to read as well.

And which pixel density setting do you find works best for you?
-
On MacOS - 'Pixel Density' has no affect on font & OSD element size.

Please give us time to have a look at it.

I find that 100% works best. It's sharper than 50% and my frame rate seems comparable. The on-screen displays and the menus render at the same size with either setting.
Please give us time to have a look at it.
Thank you, it's greatly appreciated!

As Cliffweb said, we just updated Aerofly RC 8, so that on retina displays the font is larger to improve readability.

Thank you very much
