Adding start positions

  • I am trying to add a starting position to LSMM.

I am taking the coordinates from Google Earth Pro. Decimal.

    <[list_tmsimulator_parking_position][parking_positions][]

    <[tmsimulator_parking_position][element][0]

    <[vector2_float64][position][8.122164 46.739500]>

    <[float64][heading][3.36]>

    <[string8][name][Military Ramp #3]>

    >

But unfortunately it will end up somwhere in the ocean.

This is the original parking position

    <[list_tmsimulator_parking_position][parking_positions][]

    <[tmsimulator_parking_position][element][0]

    <[vector2_float64][position][8.11574207738177 46.7405239055221]>

    <[float64][heading][3.36]>

    <[string8][name][General Aviation Parking #1]>

    What I am doing wrong?

  • Thats interesting. the original supplied ones are already flipped. I took these as reference. Why would the second parking position be different?

    X-Plane 11.3x / DCS 2.5.4 / P3Dv4.5 / Aerofly FS 2

    Win10-x64 | ASUS Z270E | Intel i7-7700K @4.5GHz | Corsair Vengeance LPX 32 GB DDR4 | 6TB SSD Samsung 850 Pro | ASUS GTX 1080 ROG STRIX 8GB DDR5X | TM Hotas Warthog | Saitek Combat Pedals | Oculus Rift CV1

  • Yep. That should not be the issue

It is strange, cause if i use the coordinates, it works

    X-Plane 11.3x / DCS 2.5.4 / P3Dv4.5 / Aerofly FS 2

    Win10-x64 | ASUS Z270E | Intel i7-7700K @4.5GHz | Corsair Vengeance LPX 32 GB DDR4 | 6TB SSD Samsung 850 Pro | ASUS GTX 1080 ROG STRIX 8GB DDR5X | TM Hotas Warthog | Saitek Combat Pedals | Oculus Rift CV1

  • So, what is the problem then?

    X-Plane 11.3x / DCS 2.5.4 / P3Dv4.5 / Aerofly FS 2

    Win10-x64 | ASUS Z270E | Intel i7-7700K @4.5GHz | Corsair Vengeance LPX 32 GB DDR4 | 6TB SSD Samsung 850 Pro | ASUS GTX 1080 ROG STRIX 8GB DDR5X | TM Hotas Warthog | Saitek Combat Pedals | Oculus Rift CV1

  • I took the on supplied with Aerosoft Switzerland and added the start point

    X-Plane 11.3x / DCS 2.5.4 / P3Dv4.5 / Aerofly FS 2

    Win10-x64 | ASUS Z270E | Intel i7-7700K @4.5GHz | Corsair Vengeance LPX 32 GB DDR4 | 6TB SSD Samsung 850 Pro | ASUS GTX 1080 ROG STRIX 8GB DDR5X | TM Hotas Warthog | Saitek Combat Pedals | Oculus Rift CV1

  • When you added a start position, there might be an error in the code, like a missing arrow.

This is the reason for my question.

Another idea, when looking to your data: don't duplicate the header line for parking positions.

    It should look like this:

  • Mit diesem code habe ich eine zweite parking position in Meiringen.

    Best regards,

    Thomas

  • Hallo Thomas

Vielen Dank. Werde das dann mal versuchen und wenn es geht mal bei Meiringen all Stand nach MIL AIP einarbeiten ;)

  • Sorry, but I can not follow the last part of the conversation, so I can not tell if you have solved your problem (I know...silly American ). Have you got your parking position worked out? I have successfully added a number of parking locations without any issue, so if you still need help, I am happy to look into this for you.

  • Yes, correct. Actually i omitted a < and the end. I need to pay more attention on this - my lessons learned ;)
