Cultivation request

  • Thought it might may sense to have a thread for people requesting cultivation and others being able to create it.

I suggest to capture the OpenStreetmap coords this way

    British Columbia: Vancouver Area

    Upper: 49.997

    Lower: 48.309

    Left: -124.894

    Right: -121.685

    New Zealand: Milford Sound

    Upper: -44.1852

    Lower: -44.8101

    Left: 167.5182

    Right: 168.4204

    X-Plane 11.4x / DCS 2.5.5 / P3Dv4.5 HF2 / Aerofly FS 2

  • Good idea, thanks.

    The Milford Sound looks OK.

The Vancouver area is very big and the OSM Data download is 144 MB. I try to keep them to 30 MB maximum.

Can you provide a smaller area please.

    Thanks, Michael.

  • I'm running it in ScenProc at the moment so lets see what happens?

ScenProc has been running over night and not completed the processing.

It needs to be done in 4 parts.

  • Is there a way to extend the current Switzerland cultivation by adding the powerline towers. Those are missing but would be great to have them

  • I think the power line towers can be added to existing scenery?

However I have no knowledge of using the software to do this.

  • Hi Thomas,

Is there a tutorial anywhere to show how to use this tool?

    Kindest Regards,

    Michael.

  • Hi Michael

Not that I am aware of. There is a discussion thread about the utility here. And there is a user guide in the download and a sample xml-file which can be used and modifyed for own purposes. The rest is trial and error. I am by no means an expert.

    Best regards,

    Thomas

  • Thanks Thomas, yes I read the documents that came with the software and lost the will to live!;)

  • I recommend to run the test.bat in the Test folder and copy the generated tsc and toc file to places.

Then have a look at the Geneve lake for the result.

    Now look at the code.

Very useful for parking cars is #0.7.3.0

    and #0.5.1.1. for Pylons

  • I tried to cultivate corse, but unfortunately I get a OSM dump and contains no data. Anyone?

  • Yeah. How long does it take to process this. Scenproc so far is sitting on ImpOGR since 3hrs now.

I have PACA and Rhone-Alps which I want to polulate. Each osm is 5GB. Really not sure if this is going to work.

    Suggestions?
