Why does the head up display in the A380 not work?

Cause it is not yet implemented.

Aerofly is based on Java Script or Python?
-
As we stated before, we use C++ exclusively.

I don’t think c++ is such a good choice. It’s taking So much time to write the code, C++ is one of the hardest programming languages... While you can write the same code on Python and it will take a hour, in c++ it can take more than four hours.
-
Yes I also support you that writing a program in python is much more easier and shorter but the functionality of C++ is very high than python. As we cannot do everything on python because of its lesser libraries and functionality.
-
@AeroflyFS_Fan: Modern C++ is a very effective language now and many tasks can be created in the same time as other programming languages. Your statement would have been true 10 years ago. Especially the displays for all airplanes can be programmed very elegantly.

I am software developer since 40 years, and i grew up with fortran, pascal, c, c++, c# and some more. I am developing (windows) business applications against linux database servers and never used java and python because of performance (and many other) problems. I use c# with business libraries (DevExpress).
BUT c++ is in my opinion the absolutely best choice to get this performance of aerofly. You will find enough benchmarks and comparisons in the internet, and java and python are _much_ slower and for me no useful languages for this purpose, i think, ipacs uses the best language for their sim.
-
Performance proves IPACS right.
-
when I see what you’re able to do with your C++ magical fingers. It’s a lesson to other developers

here’s a real picture of the real HUD of A380. From a pilot friend. Thanks

Are you talking about the A380 or B777?
-
A380. It has immediately flashed at my brother-in-law A380 pilot. So he told me to hit CL button. But no effect.
-
The A380 menus are quite complex and require a different approach to how we implemented the B777 checklists for example.
I may be able to get the checklists working on the A380 but the MCDUs are not quite possible.

it’s cool you think you’re able to give life to the checklists screen. Can’t wait.
the ultimate challenge for you is: the landing lights that enlighten the runway.
This would thrust Aerofly from the best of the best to the god of gods. And definitely make my day.
thank you for replying. It’s important because other flight sim forum would thrust me away under cover that the request had been already asked.
