Request an update for some aircraft models

  • Since the last update of yesterday of IPACS via Steam, some pilots have unfortunately passed to the guillotine?;(

Would it be possible to resuscitate them to prevent these planes from resting on the tarmac.:/

    Thank you!

Concerned:: DR-400 Trespassers, and some of krzysk.

    Cheers

    Tomfa

    Best wishes 😉

  • Well, I haven't noticed yet since I've been essentially working with the dev camera lately, but if it's true that's really good news : the pilot head is a real immersion-killer with the Track IR or in VR.

Making it optionally invisible is a big improvement to me.

I think Jet-Pack gave a hint to activate it by adding "PilotHead" just after "PilotBody" in the graphics human.

    I'll try it out tonight

    Cheers

  • Thank you Antoine for your conclusion, in a way I can understand for those who fly in VR that it can be a positive point, however people like me who do not fly in VR, it's rather boring to visually see a Pilot without head. But to everyone his vision to see things.

But the worst is that after this last (small) update, most have gone to the guillotine?

  • Ok, thanks Jet-Pack (IPACS), however as you mentioned on the other thread,

'' The fix is easy to do if you're in a position to edit a tmd file. (Always create a backup). After "PilotBody" in the human graphics, just add "PilotHead"

So for example: For the DR-400 what is good tmd file to open, because there are 5, and then under which heading, because following the file, the listing is long ...

    dr400.tmd

Just have a look at stock IPACS aircraft tmd file for reference (e.g. the C172 if pilot's head shows up in your sim)

  • Like that,

Here's my DR400.tmd file, with a switch to de-/activate the pilot's head visibility.

    dr400_tmd.zip

Same modification for any other aircraft, just search for "<[string8][GeometryList][ PilotBody"

I confirm the resurrection of the Pilot, however from the inside, strange mirror?=O:/

  • It's not strange, it's the exact reason for making the head invisible.

Before that possibility, I slightly moved the pilot's eyes point of view - you'll find the switch for it in the upper part of the file, just uncomment the line you want to activate, and comment the other one (do not uncomment the lines with comments).

Now that the pilot head can be hidden, I reactivated by default the original IPACS point of view...

Or just below the PilotHead line, you'll find an alternate switch to make the complete pilot invisible, but flying in an empty seat is a weird thing.
