Which today do you mean...?
let’s go for Friday, Denver time.
Which today do you mean...?
Good morning,
I ran into some issues with YouTube trying to post late last night. I'll have something this morning (before noon, Denver time.)
Sorry for the hold up.
Regards,
Karl
Good morning everyone,
The product website is live: Aerofly FS2 RC ATC website
If you have any problems, send an email to Support email

Karl
Maybe some broken links ...
Hi Ken,
That's been fixed. Always bugs to work out...
Downloads, email, and store are working fine.
Do let me know if you have any other issues. Thanks.
Regards.
Karl
Karl, you may want to update your original post to include your new website link so new visitors to this link will find the website in the first post.

Hi Ken,
Done.
Great minds think alike. (It was on my list of things to do but I had higher priority activities tending to product launch.)
Best,
Karl
Hi,
I am very impressed about these new opportunities!!!
maybe I missed something, but
...is ATC for FS2 also avaialble for macOS Catalina?
and is there already one comprehensive document that completely guides us thru the entire process, with regard to
a) what to download
b) what to install in what sequence
c) differences between macOS and WIN installation
c) how to retrieve the trial license
and so on?
the website just lists a number of documents and programs.
Please do not get me wrong, I am not complaining at all, but my freetime is -unfortunately- very limited, so I always appreciate "easy to handle" installation methods.
...and no, I am not lazy;-)
Cheers

Hi Clipper747pa,
As Radar Contact is a Windows-only program, my software is as well.

Karl

well......, what can I say...., I am actually not surprised (no accusation!)
but thanks for the info anyway
Cheers
P.S.:
maybe you should mention it somewhere upfront, so us Applefliers do not get too frustrated;-)
Finally found the time to do my first flight with ATC. However... the plan from the online planner site gives an error (about a missing MSSTDFMT.DLL) so RC won't load the plan. Tried another online planner: same result. So I downloaded and installed Little Navmap but... it can't connect to AFS2 in order to load the database so... no way to create a plan. Any other ideas on how to obtain a plan that will work with RC? Getting it installed was trouble enough already (as posted previously) but this isn't making things better.
BTW Noticed the site is renewed! Looks great! However, it totally lacks information about where to download RC etc. so people might think the afs2_rc_atc_installer.msi is all they need. That's a sure way to get confused customers.
This means your MSSTDFMT.DLL isn't registered by windows, have a look at the following link.
https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/2…egistered-dlls/
I had the same problem as I didn't even have the file, took a couple of efforts to correct it but after that all ok

Thanks, I'll check that out!
The dll is registered but when I load the online created pln into RC it looks odd:
to @0 (Alt1- , Alt2-) / *RVSM
And the controller info too:
D/ATIS(0) D/CD(0) D/GND(0) D/TWR(0) D/DEP(0) D/ARR(0)
A/ATIS(0) A/GND(0) A/TWR(0) A/DEP(0) A/ARR(0)
...? Installing was complicated already, getting the addon working is even more so. Did anyone here actually download, install and use the software? And those who are using Little Navmap, how did you get the data into it without having FSX or P3D or whatever installed?
I gave it up because the installation was too complicated and too time-consuming for me. I get a big neck when Radar Control only FS X and FS2004 is listed and no FS2. What shoud that?!
I have used this program for weeks with no problems apart from the dll error mentioned above.
I use simbrief for my flightplans, and export them as an fsx flightplan. Open this file with radar contact and go fly. No need to do anything in FS2 flight planner

Yes, the setup is a PITA. You should read the AFS2RCATC though: it explains how to get around the problem with the missing FSX folders. However, after installing you'll get all kinds of other problems...

Well, at least the simbrief flightplan does look good in RC! However, when I click on Start RC I get a message saying
IPC request contains bad data
And btw I registerd AFS2RCATC with the key I received by e-mail (which on its own is so nineties already...) but in the sim I still see a message the copy is not licensed...?!?
Geez, seriously, this is getting ridiculous. I've been simming since the eighties but this is one of the worst add ons to get working.
I am getting the impression that somehow only the beta testers have this add on working (maybe they didn't have to register?). This really isn't an add on for the regular AFS2 user, that's for sure.
IPC request contains bad data
This means it's not licensed. If you have purchased then I suggest you contact Karl or perhaps your free trial has expired if not.
Your right, us beta testers did get preferential treatment, we had to go though it all before you did, help work out the bugs and yes it's the same process, only in our case it was every time a release was made to correct or improve things.
Seriously, if you think this is complicated try building one of these

But well, I am done with it for now, spend too much time on all this already. I will contact Karl when I feel like giving it a try again. Back to P3D with ProATC it is for now.
