• Dear Aerofly Fans,

We're happy to announce one of the many new projects we've been working on! For quite some time it has been the aircraft with the most powerful jet-engines in the world, only surpassed by it's successor. Some say that it's engines have a diameter larger than the fuselage of a Boeing 737 and others fly around the globe with it for more than 16 hours...

It's massive but also magnificent, a very powerful and elegant airliner. A modern and very popular aircraft!

The 777 (a.k.a. Triple-Seven) is approaching a release state very soon!

Our plan is to bring the Boeing 777-300ER to the iOS mobile market first because of the high number of requests from our customers. And of course we also plan to add the B777 to the Aerofly FS 2 Steam version, either as a free DLC or included in the base simulator (for free), this hasn't been fully decided yet. Release plans for this aircraft for the other platforms are not yet decided, so I don't have any further information in that regard.

    The aircraft will feature

    • a high quality model with very realistic looking materials
    • multiple repaints including but not limited to: Emirates, British Airways, Air France, American, Qatar, Swiss, Air New Zealand
    • an impressive sound
    • VR compatible (like all of our aircraft)
    • a pretty much fully functioning autopilot like the one in the Boeing 747
    • interactive EFIS control panel
    • working control display units (CDU) with some basic functionality like tuning radios choosing v-speeds and thrust limits
    • flight management system (LNAV/VNAV),
    • crew alerting system like in the 747 with most of the important warnings
    • flap load relief system and other goodies...
  • Just to show some relative size.

For those that may wish to know more about the B 777-300ER this site has a good introduction, overview, photos, and general specs.

  • Excellent news!!! Sing out if you need a hand with development - I have extensive experience ( and LOTS of love for) the trippler. Even though I’m currently on the “dark side” (flying A330), my last airplane was the -300ER and I have more than 4.000 hours on type.

Flying A330 as a day-job and enjoy VR-flying with PIMAX 5k+. NextLevelRacing v.3 Motion platform, Watercooled and overclocked i9-9900k, 32Gb 3600RAM, Samsung 970EVO Pro 2Tb m.2, nVidia RTX-2080Ti FE, Thrustmaster HOTAS, VKB pedals, Cockpitforyou motorised throttle quadrant, Precision Flight Controls Jetliner column

Excellent news, indeed. Maybe you can post some links or make some basic data available for the serious users. The 77W will be so different in size, speeds, weights, etc. that the transitions will need some good training materials. Maybe you could assist in building an introductory flight tutorial.

Thank you, I will come back to that offer :)

  • Please also for Mac.

We would love to bring this to Mac but there are technically issues on the Apple store that makes it impossible for us to update the base aerofly without uploading the entire aerofly and at the moment this just never completes without an error message. We have tried for two weeks without success and obviously contacted their support but didn't yet get the help we needed. Unless this is fixed on their side we can't do much here, not in our hands we have tried everything. But we have not given up yet on the Mac side, we'll just have to find ways around this.

  • YEEEES! Its finally coming! I am very excited for the handling and the sound of the aircraft, but also about the fact that it looks shiny and not mat like the rest of the fleet! *-*

Will it also be possible to shut down the engines?

At the moment turbofan engines can not be shut down but we are trying to get this working as well, this might not be included right from the beginning but there are intentions to have engine start and shut down for the turbofan engines as well.

  • Großartige Arbeit, hat die Boeing 777-300ER auch einen Pilot und Copilot.;);)

    Danke an IPACS.:thumbup::)

    MFG Enrico

Hi Enrico, Im Cockpit sieht man auf dem Pilotensitz einen animierten Piloten und der simulierte Copilot (allerdings nicht sichtbar) hilft auch in diesem Flugzeug.

  • A fantastic additional aircraft, long awaited for a pure IPACS-AFS2 new addition. Looking forward to be available in my AFS2-Steam edition.

  • jan,

How about the simulated fuel flows? Are you going to have “apparent fuel flows” on the gauges? I’m guessing the functional fuel system will not be ready for this one, so will some of the long haul flights be possible before hitting zero fuel?

Is the Takeoff Mass near the Max real world number or set for short haul flights?
