• Due to fairly limited time, I have not yet taken the plunge of installing user created scenery, but it is clear that there is some great stuff out there (well done to all involved). I just wondered if there was an idiot's guide to installing this (I have the Steam version of AFS2)? Also, any recommendations for somewhere good to take the R-22 for a spin?

  • I think New York is probably the best city for your helicopter flight. User made scenery can be a bit tricky to install but sometimes they come with instructions. You can always message or PM the author if you get stuck. The more you install, the more intuitive and easy it becomes.

This also includes short installation instructions at the end. While I would usually follow the accompanying readmes and/or instructions on the download page, these may serve as a more general guideline, notably, if there is nothing else provided.

Go to this link for instructions for installing User Scenery.

The downloaded scenery files need to be unzipped then are placed in either your Images folder or Places folder (both sub-folders of your personal Scenery folder.
