Buildings & cultivation

  • Hi all,

I have been away for a while from AFS2 and just started to get back into it.

I don't remember how to change the building textures, would someone be so kind an lead me on the correct path

Sydney under construction, and as you can see, the buildings are not eye candy.

  • Download the "AC3D Airport Design Package and Tutorial"

Within the download package, go to "cultivation" folder and from there you can photoshop any custom building texture you want.

  • If these are autogen then I would suspect that the .tsc distance might need to be increased. Perhaps it's a "LOD" loading type situation?

Example: Change 5000 to 20000 or perhaps 50000

Unless these are 3D models from when you did the BlenderOSM conversion along time ago, then perhaps this is an Alpha texture transparency issue?

The answer to that is the buildings must be reconverted and you must click "Remove Alpha" in MCX, under the Texture tab.

These are some possible ideas. Not 100% certain. Always happy to help further!

  • Hi Jake,

No blender this time round, I have worked out a much better way to use large data sets for cultivation.

I might look at duplication, I need to ensure that all buildings are distinct ans I will check the LOD.

    Thanks mate.
