If these are autogen then I would suspect that the .tsc distance might need to be increased. Perhaps it's a "LOD" loading type situation?
Example: Change 5000 to 20000 or perhaps 50000
Unless these are 3D models from when you did the BlenderOSM conversion along time ago, then perhaps this is an Alpha texture transparency issue?
The answer to that is the buildings must be reconverted and you must click "Remove Alpha" in MCX, under the Texture tab.
These are some possible ideas. Not 100% certain. Always happy to help further!

Hi Jake,
No blender this time round, I have worked out a much better way to use large data sets for cultivation.
I might look at duplication, I need to ensure that all buildings are distinct ans I will check the LOD.
