Hi Steve
I did a google search for CH-53E cockpit. There are a few, but not many close ups. You have probably done this already. I also tried adding words like “panel” and “training diagram” to no avail. Also noticed there are variants with glass cockpits.

I have to look in my very old backups ... could take a little time
Nemeth Designs has a version. I don't know what other sims you're running these days, but maybe a copy of their model would assist as reference.
I search all of my digital backups .. sorry ...to long time ... nothing found
( I have made a lot of pictures because I worked on CH53, UH1D and Bo105, and want to build a RC Model ... )
So tomorrow i look on my paperwork folders ... its in my basement and more than 25 years old ... cross fingers
Thanks guys. Hopefully the G model is pretty close so will help. Most of the pics I can get are taken from quite a distance so things like numbers and max allowance are unreadable. The E model also had some tape type gauges. I do have the NATOPS but the illustrations in there are useless as well.
Steve
Hi
Can anyone explain this gauge to me.
I'm assuming the aircraft symbol is a VOR pointer
The glide slope and localiser are the 2 bars. There are dots behind the bars. Does this face (ball) with the dots on move or do the bars move. If its the bars do they rotate from one end or move vertical and horizontal. Also the arrows on the glide slope bar, are these separate or part of the bar
Yellow warning annunciator ???
Steve
Really sorry .. find the paperwork folders, find no cockpit photos of our CH53 .
if they were still here (airport with CH53) I would go there and take all the pictures,
but it was closed about 5 years ago ...so i can not really help in this case ...
How much closer than this as I may have a contact.
Thanks for the help guys, appreciate it.
My Ch53E will have steam driven gauges, It's pretty much impossible ( for my little and old brain) to use MFD type displays. They need to be programmed by the gods. So unless they produce a lego style toolkit where we can select what items we want in a MFD then I doubt any sole developer will ever produce a aircraft/heli with these gauges.
Jens, thanks for the effort, I'll have to make some educated guesses and hope no one notices.
Steve
I searched and contact last days all my friends of army ...
there is a good chance that I get next days pictures
And not from new glascockpit ... old fashion
Thanks for the help guys, appreciate it.

Great to hear , love your Lynx 10/10
Hi Jens
Thanks for that. I hope to design things so I can have both the G and E models. There is a lot of differences but with making allowances now I can hopefully cut down the work later on.
Steve
Maybe we should buy a copy of the FSX/P3D 53E just to see the steam gauge choices and layout of the panels.

You might save yourself some time and work looking at this, especially if you can contact the author: https://www.surclaro.com/fsdownload-detail-18885.html
The CH53E model suggested is well below the standard you users would expect. It's an FSX model where texture maps were normally 1024*1024 and polygon counts were far less than now, I'm using 4096*4096 just for the instruments, users with VR would not be able to read any instruments, simple as that.
I was suggesting seeing the layout and selection of specific gauges and switches, not using or flying the models.
I wrote everyday with "Angel's tongues"
and hope one of my contacs will send useful pictures ...
I would also fly to there for this projects, ... only 2 flights hours ...
but no chance in these days F*CK Virus
