Moving water, instead of the satellite images / Take-off lights

I did tons of flying from a seaside aerodrome and the continuing current Aero dead water is exaspirating especially as original PC Aero FS1 has perfectly convincing and far more realistic water than the waxy varnished table-top look of FSX. PC Aero FS1 water changes its lighting from aircraft movement which is excellent, dynamic wave action should be microscopic and in ultra slow motion. Our friends say they won't use FS1 water as they have something much better planned but they said that ages ago.
Seeing changing sky lighting effects on ground surface reflections is a far more convincing scenery dynamic than ground vehicles on distracting torturously segmented roads.
What already looks great in PC Aerofly FS1.

I’ve never played Aero FS, but the water definitely looks better, atleast better than what is in FS2020 currently. Lets have faith they perfect the water physics whenever they release it. Lets hope for an update within 2 months atleast because it’s been a long time since the last one
Also that water in FS, imo, would only look good in ponds or small lakes but add that water to the ocean and it would ruin the looks.

I agree, I still use Aerofly FS in both mobile and desktop form even though these products are no longer supported. There are some nice features in the original versions which for some reason didn’t make it in to later versions. This includes the moving water as you have described but also the visible wind field simulation.

Do you have any pictures of the visible wind field simulation?

Sure, a couple of quick grabs below. To be fair the simulation is only available in the desk top version. The green arrows show lift and the length of the arrow denotes wind strength. The red arrows denote sinking air.

I’ll be honest the desktop currently also has features which can’t be brought to the mobile version, so it’s understandable. The old water is another story. But yea that simulation is cool, I didn’t know about it.

The sunlight derived partial direct reflections are seen in a diminishing zone based on where a perfect calm weather sun reflection would be, elsewhere the texture slowly changes with the shift in viewpoint, to me it looks convincing enough for ocean water. Remember that the sea state varies enormously, this PC FS water would be fine for gentle winds seen from low level.
Re current names, the moving water texture is from PC 'Aerofly FS1', iOS is 'Aerofly FS'.

I have given up on the re-appearance of the wind field simulation. I have raised the issue previously and the developers only seem vaguely aware of its earlier incarnation. I am interested in their plans for dynamic moving water though and it would be great if they could share some insight regarding any future development in this area.
