Mac Steam Version

Any Users have experience with the steam version? I was told to purchase from the mac store by a staff member but it looks like there is a version on steam with dlc available...

For us it is much easier to maintain the MAC Steam version than it is for the MAC Apple Store version and it's also easier to integrate new DLCs. On the other hand, as far as we know, only few Mac users have Steam installed. We always recommend the Steam version for PC at least, I'm not sure what the differences between the two MAC versions are at the moment.

The main issue for me is that since I bought the game from the app store, instead of steam, I am barred from using the best dlc without first dropping an additional 60$ on a game i already bought and own!! Kind of frustrated over this. I should have done more research, but to be fair your website only links apple users to the app store, and customer support told me it was available on the app store without making mention of the steam version.

I also have a Mac - and I just can't get used to steam as a platform. But under

find more than enough mostly free AddOns.

@SpaceCadet: We just recently added Aerofly FS to Steam for Mac OS. If you contact us at mail(at)ipacs.de with a copy of your receipt for Aerofly FS we can check if we can migrate you to the Steam version.

I already have the Steam PC version, surprised that I should have to pay separately for the Mac version. This is not how other Steam titles work.

@gsobala: If you have the Steam version of Aerofly FS you can install it on Windows and Mac OS, no need to purchase it again.

That's not happening: Steam is wanting to be paid again for the Mac version.

EDIT: strangely I fixed this by logging in to the Steam app on an iPad and I was able to start the Mac install from there. Go figure.

Where does the addons folder live on Steam on a Mac?

EDIT: Found it: "~/Application Support/Aerofly FS 2/addons"
