This is one fast mover. If you start in the air you are going about 800 kts so you gotta think fast, real fast. This one is designed to work with TacPack for weapons in the other sims so I don't know yet if any of those features will be available in AFS2. The underwing pylons are fixed on the model so we may be able to load bombs and missiles, but, not fire them. After all, it is a trainer. Lots of liveries will be available. First look in AFS2.

Just Flight Hawk T1/A Advanced Trainer in beta today

800 knots? Don’t think so.

Around 550 knots mark.

Remember, this is the first look at beta, It will be corrected in time. JF surely knows what it should be and Jan knows how to fix it, but, it surely does start really fast when using the air start. I notice it also flies at little too high also. That is why we have beta teams. So obviously we need to take it to maintenance for a checkup.

For those of us that think pilots should be included in flight sim models, I did a search at the JF site to review the specs and promotional screenshots of the Hawk model in the other flight sims. I am pleased to report the statement
"Animated, configurable front and rear pilots"
is listed in the model description. I will request they appear in the AFS2 edition. Actually, the pilot looks a lot like our Higgy.

The screenshot from the airstart showing an INDICATED airspeed of almost 800 knots is just bonkers;-) Even IF (and it doesn't by a long shot) do a TAS of 800 knots, the Indicated airspeed at 55.000 feet should be only 340 knots or so. An indicated airspeed of 800 knots at 55.000 in the ISA would mean a TAS of 1047 kts. That is Mach 2.5 guys!!
Either way - sure looking forward to a Hawk in AFS2- The JustFlight Hawk in X-plane is an absolute delight to take for a hoon in the Mach-loop!!!
-
If you ignore the kooky weird tape across the top of the screen and actually read the dials in the aircraft, 400 knots at 16850 feet.
-
I actually just bought this along with a couple of others for XP11 in their Easter promotion. Keeping a watch on the AF2 version as I was always planning on doing a Red Arrows livery for the MB339 but no point now.

The FSX/P3D version is totally free for the month of April. It dies on May 1st. a good way the see it in detail and get the manual.

This US Navy Goshawk (a Hawk made under license by Boeing for the USN) is really interesting. I have the JF Hawk for X-Plane and miss the Goshawk since it has speed brakes at the side as it is a carrier landing trainer. Together with the Hornet near Cape Canaveral this will be a real plus for Aerofly.
Thank you, Jetjockey 10

You are welcome, Tregarth. In a very short time our latest large scale scenery package will be ready and the Nimitz and Hornet will both be included for your takeoffs and landings pleasure. Watch for the Hawaii Revisited scenery pack.
There are many differences between the JF Hawk and the T-45C, but, in a crunch we can overlook most of them. To the casual viewer the dual front gear, speed brakes, and tailhook are noticeable differences. Well, maybe the extra pylons on the Hawk.

Is this good ... or bad ?

Is this good ... or bad ?
He appears to be highly intelligent, he is in the correct seat in the aircraft, has his helmet on with the visor facing forward, so that is good, jep, all good positive points. I lean towards the good side, but, I'm sure there are those that sway with the winds and they might come down on either side. hmmm.

Doesn't this look just like the S.211 and the MB339?
-
I see a lot of differences in the 3 designs. All are small jets, but, otherwise no similarities.
-
Being a naval aircraft the T-45 has a "navy" HUD with E-bracket and AoA indexer (as modelled in Dino Cattaneo's T-45 for FSX). Will the AeroFly GosHawk have a "navy" HUD, please? The JF Hawk for X-Plane has a HUD but it is really only a bomb sight since this Hawk is not for carrier training.
I have checked the JF website, they are advertising the Aerofly Hawk, and asking people to register an interest, but it seems to be a port of the existing land based version.
An AeroFly T-45 Goshawk would be really good.
Thank you,

I think all we can expect is a T-45C Navy repaint of the AFS2 version of their Advanced Hawk 1/A.
-
Do they generally do any kind of cross platform discount if you already own the XP11 version?
