Reaching Down with touch controller

  • Hello to one and all . I have a Oculus Rift S .when flying or trying to fly everything is fine but when I try to reach something in the lower half of the cockpit with my oculus rift touch controller I can’t because. my pc worktop is in the way I use a CH Yoke (and CH rudder pedals) Yoke clamped to my worktop

    As a 72yr old simmer I do try to search for the answer but I am stuck . Any advice please . Thanking you all in anticipation take care stay safe in these. trying times

  • You can build a 'simpit' with as much room possible for movement with the motion controllers but there will always be places hard to reach in VR. In that case I use the mouse in VR....

  • The solution is moving back from the PC into the free area. If you need to fly with a physical yoke then you'll probably will need to have some form of contraption to fix the yoke in place directly in front of you. You can also move back and then re-center your view, e.g. if the autopilot is on. That gives you enough room to work with the vr hands. When you want to resume the manual flight you move your chair back forward and press the recenter button again.

    The real world is somewhat limiting the virtual space here :D
