Update 2.05.03.27

  • Just downloaded this and installed. On opening the flight sim it has an error message missing steam dll file.

This update is clearly for the DVD version and not steam. I have the DVD version so why the odd error message?

Its totally wrecked my FS 2 so having to re install from the 6 DVD pack. Most annoying.

  • Indeed! I had yesterday the same. Had to install from 0 till the working update for me!

Why they don't care more what they do!

The non Steam version (retail version or site download) gives user from the beginning problems with updating.

They should follow DCS World that's consumer friendly updating. It always works! Stupid not able to update Aerofly FS2 from the sim itself!

I hardly fly this sim, most I do is to keep it up to date with problems...

Its a real problem messing up your working sim and then spending almost a day sorting it out with re installing the 6 DVD pack and testing.

I think IPACS made a big mistake with the 2.05.03.27 and then within 24 hours changed it to 2.05.03.29 which works but leaves San Francisco Int Airport in a hole with floating objects.

  • As usual, please provide the tm.log file for us. Otherwise we are blind and cannot see what's going wrong.

    Log file attached. Thank you.

  • IZ0JUB: Thank you for the tm.log. It looks like the installation finds multiple airports. For example this line:

    skipping duplicate place 'scenery/airports/usa/ca/ksfo_san_francisco_int/ksfo_san_francisco_int.tsc'.

I am pretty sure this is causing some issues here. The KSFO airport at the above location is correct, so wherever the 'other KSFO' is located, it shouldn't be there.

  • Thank you for your reply. I will have another look for duplicate files.

PS. Found the problem with duplicate entries and all working 100% THANK YOU IPACS Team.
