• I have a little knowledge on C90 Models and the starting sequence is once you engage the starter motor( n2 starts spinning and egt starts to rise) at this point blades try to spin a little bit...(even without fuel)... we wait for n2 to rise above 15-25%... Then we introduce fuel... (Fuel control lever from fuel cutoff to Low idle)..

I think the Problem in AFS21 is when i engage starter motor, blades doesn't wants to spin...they start spinning only when i add fuel...

Is this correct or maybe a mishap?

    Just asking...

  • That's a bug. The prop should start turning already when motoring the engine.

Btw. N1 is the gas generator RPM and N2 prop RPM.

If you motor the engine, EGT can't rise, if it changes, it usually drops).

What's much more disturbing is the gross prop overspeed (>2500RPM) with the power levers in ground fine and the condition levers at low.

The engines on the C90Gtx (not a B model) have a simulated propeller shaft friction that is too high at the moment. We can address this in future updates so that the prop spins more easily once the core is rotating too. At the moment the props also stop to quickly.

For now just look at the core rotation speed before introducing fuel.
