Does anyone know of an operating manual for the B787 autopilot like there is for the A320 or will there be one in the near future. ??

At the moment there only exists a description of the 747 autopilot and the 777 flight tutorial. The 787 is similar to the 777 so it's best to start there.

Did you press the heading select button?

I tried but didn’t seem to do anything. Is the heading select button on the end of the heading rotary knob ??
Yes the black button at the top of the knob. Push it to change the autopilot lateral mode to HDG.

Tried last night I tried pressing the heading select button many times. I must be be missing something as I can’t get it to work.

Hi Niko, LONG vertical swipe from the centre of the knob. Leave enough space above that part of the panel for the long swipe upwards.

Thanks Overloaded I was just pressing the middle of the button and nothing was happening. That’s sorted it thanks again
