I simply cannot download regions anymore in AFS 2021. If support for this version was cut then at least IPACs could've let us know, so I could download them sooner...

How about some more details? No support has been cut as you said. Ensure you have enough free storage ( at least 8 GB on iOS and Android ! ) and that you are connected to the internet through WiFi.

Apologies for lack of detail. Let me elaborate.
When I tap regions, it loads for some time, then tells me that my internet is disconnected, even though it clearly isn't.
I have tried restarting the game, my device, my internet settings, to no avail. I am on an iPhone 12 Pro Max
