Well technically this is exactly as it should be, the projected image size should not be affected by the distance.
In the real world this image would probably be blurry and quite dim though.

It’s a shame about the resolution of the MFD’s as the small characters are to small to read especially on the CDU on my Ipad 8.
My new favourite aeroplane though.

This is zoomed in from the pilot’s seat the CDU is hard to read and I do have my specs on.
