We talked about that already but before the release of Aerofly FS 2022. So I would like to ask you what the most dangerous or interesting approaches are in the new flight sim. Especially in Europe.

Aerofly FS 2022 has missions and challenges. One of these challenges is a traffic pattern at Madeira with the dangerous approach.

Thanks a lot but you didn’t mention airports like Wasserkuppe. They are really interesting but don’t get any attention:D
I can always add more, what airports would you like to see featured in our challenges and what airplane do you want to use for that?

PostRE: Dangerous approaches
Monument Valley runway 34 is my favorite - F18 for the real challenge!
You can either stall above the ridge and drop in like a stone and stop the fall with afterburners at the right time or try and do a right hand turn at very high angle of attack. You may want to work up to that though with something like the C172 or B58.
Innsbruck is pretty nice (Orbx scenery) if you fly a traffic pattern with an airliner. You can easily do a pattern with the widebodys, too.

Most of these have actually become challenges in Aerofly FS 2022 and are also available in the upcoming Aerofly FS 4.

Gibraltar and Madeira are already in, but airports like Courchevel in the French alps? France lacks a lot of airports unlike the other countries which are far more populated with fields so I think courchevel is a nice start. Also Toulouse wen
There are NO dangerous instrument approaches. Government aviation authorities evaluate all the hazards associated with a proposed approach and determine the minima required to keep the probability of death, serious injury or damage to the aeroplane from one unrelated event or fault to being well under one in a million.
The perfectly safe Innsbruck LOC approach can require visibility and cloud limitations depending on aircraft performance such that the minimum descent height above the airport can be 3,000 feet up and 7.5 miles out. That is the safety requirement for a plane with a low missed approach climb rate.
A dangerous approach is a visual one into something like a blind dead end or very high or down hill with surrounding obstacles. The pilot is a major factor in how dangerous those approaches are.

And also Paris Orly Airport

For example Eagle County with low visibility

Localiser Decision Altitude 3 miles out visibility and 1790 feet above the airport minima, perfectly safe instrument approach.

Courchevel LFLJ and Lager Hammelburg EDFJ

Courchevel doesn’t exist…
"There are NO dangerous instrument approaches." very good.
They are only dangerous when I am flying... I like to shoot ILS's with a beer in hand. Been doing that for years. Can't do that in the real thing.

Well you can hold it but not drink it.
The fact that Aerofly FS4 is a flight simulator - is probably the reason why there were no injuries when an Airbus aircraft landed at Asturias Airport (LEAS) today.
It is speculated whether the placement of this tower at the end of the runway is due to a new creative EU directive?
Anyway - this is really a dangerous approach - which can be recommended.
That is how Aerofly can give us VORs with 70 miles reception range.
