This is the tcas switch and airbusses don't have the stroke ring only boeing has it
If you pet the tcas swith to "TA/RA" or "TA only" the notification "Tcas standby" should go away

That’s not true. The second picture shows the stroke ring and it’s a photo of an A320. Thanks for your help anyways.
When the TCAS is on you'll see tick marks around the airplane, up to 12 in total, one for each hour position.
They are only drawn if you zoom in on the navigation display.

Thank you very much. I missed them after I have flown with cold and dark. I had the feeling that TCAS has something to do with these marks and you confirmed it, thanks!

They are there so that pilots know where to look if ATC tells them "Traffic at your 3 o'clock" or when they see traffic on the ND map they can easily tell each other where the traffic is.
