Hello All,
Has anyone seen an aircraft carrier in Europe? IPCAS ... will/do you have a carrier that has (night) lighting?
Thanks.

In AF2, there are player made carrier add-ons that can be used. But he doesn't work in AF4. Perhaps this is an official unimplemented project.

Is work in progress...
There are 4 carriers for the FS2:
- 1x on the coast off California
- 3x in or near Oahu (Hawaii)
-- 1x in Pearl Harbor
-- 1x on the south-east coast
-- 1x as a battle-strike group south-west
When it is known how we can transfer these well from FS2 to FS4, we will do so -- so far, unfortunately, I have not been able to do so.
Thanks ... I have definitely used the carriers in Hawaii. I was Just hoping to see them in Europe (with lighting).
I'm going to move a carrier strike group to Europe. However, as a former Mariner, I have qualms in the current world political situation about dealing too offensively with the topic of military technology, which is actually interesting to me.
Thank you.
AP, did you create a carrier group for FS 4? (Europe)
Today I also managed to activate an aircraft carrier, a supply ship and a destroyer for FS4😎. So in the next few days I will send a carrier strike group to the North Sea.😀
So, the aircraft carrier CVN-68 USS Nimitz has anchored for a visit at Wilhelmshaven (Germany). With it at anchor are a destroyer and a supply ship, while other escort ships are still anchored to the north.
Helicopter transfers between the ships are possible in FS2 and FS4.
If everything fits, I will publish it on Flight-Sim.org.
You are a good soul, thank you very much!
It's done - have fun.😂
I think we should have HMS Queen Elizabeth or HMS Prince of Wales in Europe.
I had a FS4 look for the painted aircraft carrier deck at the former Navy airfield at Henstridge 9 miles east of the British Royal Navy airfield at Yeovilton but it isn’t in useful resolution. In Google Earth it looks really faded, it wasn’t all that fresh when I last saw it about 25 years ago. It is not one of the airfields IPACS selected for depiction. The British Navy hasn’t done any arrestor gear landings for 45 years.

You could land a Cessna 172 on it😝
I would like to have for Android Mobil Phone 😳☹️
... on Windows.

Thank you again!

That's right, EGHS doesn't help in this case.
Since the topic of FCLP (Field Carrier Landing Practice) did not let me rest, I searched for suitable airfields in the USA . Unfortunately, I could not take some really nice airfields such as KNHK and KNUW, because IPACS has designed them very well
- but unfortunately the artificial runways cover the FCLP markings
.
I found what I was looking for in Norfolk, where there are two airfields, KNGU and KNFE, which have not yet been designed by IPACS.
KNGU in particular has such good image files that FCLP can be used.
In Flight-Sim.org I have created a downloadable article about this:
The Fentress/KNFE 05/23 twin practice runway in Google Earth looks like it has a solid tyre rubber layer at each end! It is obviously used a lot.
I’ll try my first alteration to FS4 using your files, thanks.
