Hi,
How can I change parameters (for example the cloud density) through the SDK?
I've found a cloud density option in the main.mcf file but when I open the file in a Text Editor and change the value, nothing happens.
Thank you.

I use the tool "Das Wettergerät für Aerofly FS 2" also in FS 4. The tool reads the METAR data for a specific airport and writes it to the main.mcf file.
Not possible with the current SDK unfortunately. I had hoped FS4 would be more open and extensible. The mcf file is locked when Aerofly is running, so you need to close it before editing some value.

Okay Thanks.
I am sorry to hear that we will not be able to update the weather while Aerofly FS4 is running. This is the part where I got stuck in Aerofly FS 2.
But at least the Wettergerät is still doing its job. Oh, and you are still free to extend the Wettergerät to your liking. Maybe there is a way to at least implement it into the main menu?

I‘m not really familiar with C#/C++. I tried to make a similar application with Javascript, I was able to get to a point where I can fetch real life weather data from an API, but I‘m not able to change the weather parameters while Aerofly is running. And the DLL part of the SDK doesn’t have a proper documentation. It would be nice if there was a better documentation of the SDK…

Actually before starting with C++ I did the Wettergerät in JavaScript. The repository is still available via https://github.com/fboes/aerofly-weather.
I switched to C++ because compile size and memory footprint of the application are way smaller. Back than I also hoped to solve the DLL part via C++, but discovered later on that updating the weather while in flight was not possible. I hoped for Aerofly FS4 to solve this, but did not find the time to restart the project.

I discovered a framework called tauri, which should be faster than electron. But it's very unfortunate that we can't update the weather while Aerofly is running. Jet-Pack (IPACS) are there any plans to change this? Thank you.
