• The database is out of date by three degrees of magnetic variation in the western U.S. and different amounts elsewhere. As an example the waypoint SHOEY off Monterey needs a fix set at 267 degrees from Salinas VOR instead of the published 264.

    Just take this into account.


    Excuse me, how do you play?

    Instead of [nav frequency]/225 or 225 in the nav panel’s course field or 225 set on the ILS display instrument, enter [nav frequency]/228 etc and the plane will swerve 3 degrees to the right. This can correct wind effects or old database errors.

    This is not how it is done in real life.
