Insert a destination airport for the route.

On the pressurisation panel on the right side of the overhead you can either set the manual landing altitude with the knob or you can ‘push’ it in and the manual landing altitude indication will go away if you have a destination entered as Jan has written above.

Thanks for letting me know. It's strange though: When pushing the button in, LDG ALT (still) does not vanish. Do you know which specific field has to be filled out in the FMC? Route and APPROACH page seem to be complete...

Keep it simple, use the simulator's nav page with a departure and a destination. The FMC should then have the basics and pushing in the Manual LDG ALT pull on button should lose the landing altitude display.
(Ignore my 'contribution'. I was on about the low right LDG ALT indication on the captains's right panel, above the FUEL QTY readout).

The LDT ALT indication on the PFD comes on when no destination FMC altitude can be displayed, that can have several causes.
The pressurization system also uses that FMC destination field elevation but the overhead knob can override the FMC value. The value on the PFD cannot be overridden with the pressurization target field elevation though. So it does not have any affect on the PFD LDT ALT flag.
Please check if this happens only at selected destination airports and please check if you need to be close to the airport for the message to disappear or if it always is on.

I did 2 tests: In both cases "LDG ALT" vanished when I came close to the destination - around 15nm DME.
So I'd say: Yes, I need to be close to the destination airport for the message to disappear.
