When trying to use the FMC and creating my flight plan it only shows half the route and the arrival, how do you get rid of the flight plan discontinuity in the middle of the plan?

When trying to use the FMC and creating my flight plan it only shows half the route and the arrival, how do you get rid of the flight plan discontinuity in the middle of the plan?
Press clear and then choose the selecty next to plane discontinuity.

Depending on the plane and FMC you need to press the button on the FMC right below the discontinuity then press the discontinuity button. That should move the one line up and eliminate the discontinuity issue.
